This Crime Stoppers Program began in 1990 from the efforts of our local citizens and the Somervell County Sheriff's Office. Our Program now operates as an independent organization. The concept has developed into a combination of efforts by local media, businesses, civic and social clubs, law enforcement agencies, and the public. Donations of airtime, newspaper space, and reward monies have established Crime Stoppers as an effective tool to fight crime in the area.

The mission of the Somervell County Crime Stoppers, Inc. is to make Somervell County a safer place by assisting Law Enforcement through a system of soliciting and receiving anonymous tips and offering monetary rewards in exchange for information that leads to an arrest.
