On September 10, 2020 at 11:26 p.m., an unknown black male walked into the McDonald's at 1520 Kennedy Blvd. and demanded an employee open the register.  The suspect stated he would "pop" the employee who then opened the register.  The suspect took money from the register then fled southbound on foot toward Cleveland St..

On August 22, 2020 on Davis Island in Tampa, an unknown suspect who was a passenger in a silver colored vehicle, ran up to the victim demanding that they get into the vehicle at gunpoint. The victim screamed and fell down while walking backwards in an attempt to get away.  The suspect returned to the vehicle and fled the area.

HCSO Detectives Look to ID Suspects in Home Robbery in Sun City Center

STATUS: OPEN
On September 3, 2020 at 10:16 p.m., two masked suspects entered a home in the 300 block of Clubmanor Dr. in Sun City Center. The unknown suspects held the elderly victim at gunpoint as they took personal items to include credit cards.  Suspect 1 is a W/M, tall, thin build, wearing a blue/black mask, black t-shirt, pants, sneakers and gloves.  The second suspect is a W/M, wearing all black and white sneakers with black laces. The suspects were seen being dropped off in the area in a silver or gray crossover SUV, however, they fled the area on foot after the robbery.  During the early morning hours of September 4th, unknown suspect(s) attempted to use the stolen credit cards at the Racetrac on College Ave. in Ruskin and Pilot station on 51st Ave E. in Ellenton, but both transactions were declined.

TPD Detectives Search for Stolen Utility Trailer

STATUS: OPEN
On July 22, 2020 at 1:44 p.m., 2 unknown Hispanic males used a 2004-2008 Ford F150 pickup truck, dark blue in color bearing FL tag 438... to steal a utility trailer from the rear parking lot of 3313 E. 7th Avenue in Tampa.  The trailer is a 1999 black Performance Utility trailer, 8'x4', single axle with a folding rear gate, bearing FL tag 515VFW.  The passenger in the truck is described as thin build, 6'1", 180 lbs., short black hair, salt/pepper goatee, large tattoo inside right forearm.  There appeared to be assorted scrap metal in the bed of the truck and tape affixed to the tailgate above the latch.  The theft was caught on surveillance video.  Visit our Facebook page to view the surveillance video.

HCSO Detectives Ask for Information in Shooting at Riverview Apartment Complex

On August 15, 2020 at approx. 9:30 p.m., the victim was shot at an apartment complex in the 7800 block of Colonial Club Court in Riverview.  The victim, a 43 yoa male suffered life-threatening injuries and later died as a result.  Detectives believe the unknown suspect(s) fled to Sanford Street then to Highway 301.

FHP Troopers Search for Suspects in Afternoon Shooting on I-4

On August 22, 2020 at 2:23 p.m., 3 unknown black males traveling westbound in a black Hyundai sedan on I-4 near the Hillsborough Ave. exit ramp pulled up to the left side of the victims Toyota sedan and shot several times.  The victim's vehicle was struck by 6 bullets, penetrating the vehicle from the trunk to the driver's door.  The victim, a 35 yoa male from Tampa, suffered non-life threatening injuries.

FHP Troopers Investigate Hit and Run Fatal Accident

On August 20, 2020 at 11:10 p.m. a 17 year old female, who was walking on I-75, was struck and killed by a large vehicle. Investigators believe a semi-truck traveling just north of the Sun City Center (Highway 674) exit struck the female.  The driver of the vehicle fled the scene going southbound on the interstate.

Plant City PD Detectives Ask for Information from the Public In Shooting Investigation

On August 21, 2020 at 1:49 a.m., in the 1800 block of E. Alabama Street in Plant City, officers discovered a male victim who had sustained a gunshot wound to the head.  He was transported to a local hospital where he died as a result of the injuries he sustained.  The victim has been identified as Kenneth (Kenny) R. Coleman Jr., 14 years old, from Gainesville.

TPD Detectives Look for Suspects in Battery of 7-Eleven Employee

On August 9, 2020 at 3:15 a.m., two unknown suspects repeatedly battered a 7-Eleven employee because the air pump machine was not working at the 1930 N. Dale Mabry Hwy. store.  The suspects were captured on surveillance video punching and kicking the victim while he was on the ground resulting in multiple injuries.  The Hispanic male is 25-35 yoa, under 6', light complexion, short dark hair, mustache, large tattoo on left arm, white t-shirt w/ a black logo, black pants and white sneakers.  The second Hispanic male suspect is 25-35 yoa, 5'8", 160-180 lbs., tan/olive complexion and a small pony tail.  The suspects fled in a black Dodge Challenger, 2-door, tinted windows.

TPD Detectives Ask for Information on Suspects In Jewelry Store Burglary

STATUS: OPEN
On May 31, 2020 at 3:34 a.m., eighteen unknown suspects attempted to force entry into the Liberty Jewelry store, located at 1957 W. Dr. King Blvd. in Tampa.  The suspects arrived in multiple vehicles and were caught on surveillance video breaking the glass in the front windows and door and even attempting to turn off the power to the building by tampering with the electrical box.  The suspects were not able to gain entry into the store.
