TPD Detectives Search for Fraud Suspect

On May 24th, 2019, A black male suspect entered the Bank of America located at 3439 W. Hillsborough Avenue in Tampa, FL. and made several withdrawals from a fraudulent business account. The victim of this fraudulent account, who is from out of state, wired money to this account. The victim believed that he was purchasing a vehicle from a dealership in Georgia. After the victim wired the money and did not receive a response, realized that he had been defrauded.

HCSO Detectives Ask for Help in Identifying Female Suspect at ATM

On June 1, 2019, the victim used the GTE ATM at 1600 8th Avenue E., in
Tampa, FL, to withdrawal some money. The victim got distracted & forgot to put the money envelope in her purse before leaving the bank. The female suspect is seen on the video, finding the envelope, opening the envelope, then taking the envelope. The female suspect left the ATM area on foot. HCSO is asking for the public's help in identifying the female suspect.

Tampa Police Detectives Work to Identify Jewelry Thieves

On August 18, 2019 at approximately 12:32 pm, a male and female entered a jewelry store located at 22nd Street N. & Fowler Avenue E., in Tampa, Fl. The male suspect distracted the store employee, while the female suspect removed a 55 gram gold link chain from the display case. The suspects left the store and were last seen driving a 2006 gray Toyota Sienna minivan, with possibly Maryland tags.
The suspects were captured on store surveillance video.

Tampa PD Detectives Ask for Help to Identify Robbery Suspect

On August 7th, 2019, at approximately 3:30pm, an unknown white male approached the victim, who is in a wheelchair, on 7th Avenue near 21st Street in Tampa, FL. The suspect reached into the victim's shirt pocket then removed the victim's wallet before fleeing the scene on foot. TPD Detectives are asking for help in identifying this robbery suspect so he can be taken into custody.

On July 5, 2019, three unknown black males entered the AT&T store located at 1812 Westshore Boulevard N., Tampa, and stole five Apple iPhones and two Apple iPads off the display table. The suspects fled the store without paying for the items. The suspects were captured on store surveillance video.

FHP Looking for Suspect Involved in Hit and Run of a Child

On August 22, 2019 at approximately 4:38 p.m., the white male driver of a blue Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck struck a child pedestrian when he was walking on Excalibur Street near Flora Avenue in Holiday, FL. The white male driver fled the scene and was last seen traveling westbound on Gaslight Avenue.  The child suffered injuries as a result of the crash.

HCSO Detectives Search for Suspect Who Fled After Hitting Pedestrian in Plant City

On August 9, 2019 at approximately 11:00 p.m., a 63 yoa male was walking southbound on the east side of N Forbes Road in Plant City, just south
of US Highway 92 E., when he was struck by a passing vehicle traveling northbound.  The victim died as a result of the injuries he sustained.  Witnesses described seeing a dark-colored pickup truck or SUV leaving the scene shortly after the incident.

Plant City Detectives Ask for Information from the Public to Help Identify Suspects

On July 7, 2019, just prior to closing, a verbal dispute inside Duke’s Brewhouse Restaurant located at 2212 James L. Redman Parkway in Plant City escalated to an incident involving several patrons outside.  An adult male victim was severely battered in the parking lot and sustained injuries requiring medical attention.  After the incident, the suspects left together in the same vehicle.  Surveillance video captured photos of the suspects involved. 
 
Detectives are asking for information that would help identify the unknown suspects as well as any photographs or video of the incident.

On July 9, 2019, shortly after 4:30 p.m., an unknown black female entered JC Penney's located at 201 Westshore Plaza, within Westshore Mall, and selected a variety of merchandise.  The suspect fled the store without paying for the items valued at $1,851.  The suspect was captured on store surveillance video.

TPD Detectives Work to Identify Shooting Suspect
June 18, 2019

STATUS: OPEN
On May 24, 2019 at 11:05 p.m., the victim and suspect, identified as Edward Evans, 29 yoa, engaged in a physical altercation at 4015 Wyoming Avenue West in Tampa when the suspect punched the victim in the mouth.  The suspect and an unknown black male, described as being 40-45 yoa and 5'09", left the residence in the suspect's vehicle.  They circled the block then returned pulling up behind the victim.  The unknown black male exited the vehicle armed with a semi-automatic handgun.  The victim fled on foot at which time the black male suspect shot the victim causing injuries.  
 
Law enforcement is asking for information to help identify the unknown black male suspect.  Edward Evans currently has an outstanding warrant for VOP Criminal Mischief and Battery 2nd or Subsequent Offense.
