On April 18, 2023, shortly after 11:00 p.m., a Hispanic female in her early 20s, attempted to make a DoorDash delivery to the Residence Inn located at 4312 W. Boy Scout Blvd. While walking up to the hotel to make the delivery, the victim was approached by a black male armed with a gun, who forced her back into her car. The suspect forced the victim at gunpoint to drive to the Belara Lakes Apartments located at 8402 N. Waterford Ave, where he then sexually battered her. The victim's family, who had been tracking her phone, arrived at the apartment complex and rescued her from the car. The suspect responded by firing multiple times, with one shot striking a family member of the victim’s girlfriend, a female in her 20s, before fleeing the scene. Both victims were transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspect is described as a black male, in his late 20s-early 30s, approximately 6'2" tall, with a thin build and facial hair. He was wearing a blue, long-sleeved shirt or hoodie and black pants. He was armed with a handgun.

HCSO Detectives Work to Identify Armed Burglary Suspects

In the early morning hours of April 6, 2023, two unknown suspects forced entry into an apartment in the Foxcroft Apartment Homes on Hunt Road. While armed with a firearm, once inside, the suspects made statements to the occupants before fleeing.
The suspects were captured on surveillance video and are described as unknown race males, 5"9"-5'11", medium build, wearing face masks, blue jeans, hooded tops and gloves. One suspect was wearing a fanny pack draped across his chest and a backwards hat.

In the early morning hours of August 27, 2022, 45 year-old Willie James Carraway was shot and killed while hanging out with friends in the 1500 block of N. Nebraska Avenue in Tampa. Two other victims were struck by gunfire during the
same time and in the same area.

HCSO Detectives Ask for Tips from the Public in Unsolved Homicide

On November 1, 2022 at 2:15 a.m., law enforcement received reports that multiple shots were fired in the area of the 9000 block of Harney Road in Thonotosassa. Shortly after at 2:27 a.m., law enforcement was notified that a victim had been shot and was at the 301 Petrol Mart located at 11511 Highway 301. Detectives were quickly able to link both incidents together and determine unknown suspect(s) had fired shots during a Halloween party at a residence after an argument occurred.
The victim, Laci Gilileo, 15 years old, was shot at the Halloween party and taken to a local hospital. Laci died as a result of the injuries she sustained. An adult male victim had also sustained gunshot wounds.
According to witnesses, there were over 100 attendees at the Halloween party.

On April 3, 2023 at approx. 5:00 p.m., three unknown black female suspects stole several items of merchandise from the Tommy Hilfiger store at the Tampa Premium Outlets in Lutz. The suspects hid the stolen merchandise in their clothes. During the incident, one suspect struck a victim in the face while attempting to flee.

Detectives continue to investigate a home invasion and shooting of three individuals, including a 6-year old child, which occurred on March 3, 2023 in Land O' Lakes. The pictured vehicle, which appears to be a white SUV, was seen near Hale Road between 2:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. that day. Investigators believe the vehicle occupants may have information regarding this case.

Tips Sought to Find Person Responsible for Injuries to a Female Dog Found Abandoned in Lithia

On February 24, 2023 a brown and white mixed breed female dog was found abandoned in a wooded area near Old Hopewell Road and Henry George Road in Lithia. The dog had suffered a large laceration under her neck which required immediate medical care. Hillsborough County Animal Control Officers set an overnight trap in the area to safely contain the dog. The following day, she was taken to the Pet Resource Center so she could undergo surgery to remove zip ties and electrical wire that had been embedded in her neck.
Harper, her new name, is recovering well from her severe injuries and is being treated for heartworms. It is believed that she is 2 years old, weighs 48 pounds and may have recently had a litter of puppies.

On March 3, 2023, four male suspects arrived in the area of Sierra Rd. in Land O Lakes in an unknown make/ model SUV. The suspects waited until 4:45 a.m. before exiting the SUV. They confronted and ultimately shot, an adult male victim outside of his residence. The suspects then entered the residence and shot an adult woman and a girl before leaving the scene in the SUV.

TPD Detectives Work to Identify Suspects Using Vehicle from PA to Steal from UPS Truck

On February 10, 2023 at 10:28 a.m., two unknown black males entered an open UPS truck while parked at the loading/delivery dock for International Plaza located at 2223 N. West Shore Blvd. The suspects took delivery boxes containing jewelry belonging to individual customers that had been sent for repair.
The suspects were driving a black 2022 Jeep Wagoneer with a Virginia tag of TVK6290. The vehicle was rented through Enterprise at the Philadelphia, PA airport on February 3rd and returned on February 14th. (Photo of actual vehicle)
Suspect #1 is described as a black male, 50-64 yoa, 5'9", 160 lbs. and seen on video wearing a black ball cap, white t-shirt, black jeans and shoes, paper face mask and yellow safety vest. Suspect #2 is described as a black male, 30-49 yoa, 5'10", 220 lbs. and seen on video wearing a black ball cap with green markings, black t-shirt with white print on front, long grey or green pants, black/white sneakers with white laces and green trim on the heel, paper face mask and yellow safety vest.
