On September 27, 2024, a person dropped an envelope containing $800 in front of the Koodo kiosk in the Station Mall. A short time later, an unknown male picked up the envelope, placed it in his pocket, and walked out of the mall.

Over the labour day weekend, unknown individuals attended at the Hiawatha Highlands Conservation area. While there they cut down mature oak trees and burned them. The Regional Conservation Authority has been dealing with this issue along with illegal dumping of garbage all summer.

On the 14th of August 2024, a wallet containing identification and bank cards was stolen out of a vehicle at their place of work. An unknown female was caught on video surveillance using the stolen debit card at several locations.

Sometime overnight on 1 August, 2024, an unknown male attended in the downtown area of Queen Street East. The suspect smashed 74 parking meters causing over $40,000 in damage and took an unknown amount change from the meters.

On July 13, 2024, at around 9:58 PM, an unknown male and female entered Circle K on Second Line East. The suspects walked into the store with a shopping bag and were observed grabbing items valued at $107.00.The suspects made no attempt to pay and walked out of the store.

On June 2nd, 2024 at around 11:00 AM an unknown female entered the Canadian Tire Gas Bar located on Great Northern Road. The suspect grabbed a bottle of pop and approached the counter demanding cigarettes. The suspect was asked to leave and refused throwing the bottle at the cashier and smashing the glass barrier and display case.

On May 7th, 2024, at approximately 5 A.M., an unknown male attended on the property of 1291 Wellington Street East. The suspect proceeded to set fire to a pallet containing rubbish. The Fire Department attended and extinguished the fire.

Sometime between April 6th, 2024, and April 30th, 2024, suspect(s) attended the seasonal residence located at 291 Goulais Mission Road in the Goulais Bay area. Suspects(s) made forced entry to the residence and ransacked the interior. Suspect(s) stole a Winchester .22 long rifle and Winchester 12 gauge shotgun. STATUS: OPENCrime Stoppers and the Sault Ste Marie Ontario Provincial Police are requesting your assistance in identifying suspects involved in an incident of Break, Enter, and Theft of an ATM Machine.
On the 22nd of February 2024, shortly after 3:00 am, unknown suspects attended Dinelle’s Country Market Store in Echo Bay in a dark-colored pick-up truck. The suspects entered the vestibule area of the store and after lengthy attempts, were able to forcefully remove an ATM that was attached to a wall. The total sum of stolen cash is estimated to be $1,500 and property damage is estimated to be approximately $4,000.

Around 7:51 p.m. on August 2, 2023, an unidentified female was involved in a robbery at a store in the 0-100 block of Great Northern Road. The woman hid numerous makeup products in a red reusable shopping bag from the store. When a store associate approached her, she grabbed a porcelain bowl from a nearby display and swung it at the store associate, narrowly avoiding their head. The male accomplice has been identified.

At around 1;30 a.m. on January 23, 2024, a man and a woman entered an apartment building in the 200 block of Northern Avenue. Utilizing a crowbar, they forcibly opened the door, gaining entry to the building’s lobby. Once inside, they stole a brown leather couch and a side table. Their escape vehicle was identified as a blue Ford Escape, towing a small open trailer. These individuals will be wanted on charges of break-and-enter, theft under $5000, and mischief.
