On 21 June 2023 a report was made to police regarding a break-in to a residence on Second Line West while the resident was in their backyard. A wallet and jewelry were taken and a short time later   their credit card was used at a store. A female suspect with a large tattoo on her left forearm was caught on video surveillance.

On 21 June 2023 at around 2:50 am a male walked into the Circle K located at 381 Mcnabb Street. The male started taking items and was confronted by the store clerk. When the clerk asked the male to leave, the male threatened the clerk with a knife. The suspect continued to take more items and left the store.

On the 3rd of June 2023 at around 12:50 am two males were at the rear of the YMCA located at 235 Mcnabb Street. One of the males picked up a brick and smashed out a large window by the compound. Both males fled the area soon after the window was smashed.

In the early morning hours of May 28 2023 unknown suspects attended the compound of Rivercity Motorsports located at 1133 Great Northern Road. The suspects pulled out a white 2022 Argo ATV valued at over $7000.00. The suspects loaded the ATV onto a full size Toyota pickup with cap and fled the area.

The suspects attempted to break into the store by kicking in the front door setting off the alarm. The alarm appeared to have deterred the suspects who then fled from the area.

Crime Stoppers and the East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police are requesting your assistance in identifying suspects involved in a break, enter, and theft.

Sometime between April 21, and April 23, 2023, suspects cut through a chain link fence gaining access to the Napa Power Sports property on White Road in Blind River. The suspects stole a green Lund Jon boat valued at $1,600 and caused $4,000 damage to the fence. The suspects attempted but were unsuccessful in stealing a side-by-side worth $20,000. 

The video surveillance shows the suspect's pick-up truck and a large tandem axle-enclosed trailer.

It is unknown what was taken at this time but there were damages to the property that will run between $150,000 and $200,000 to repair. There were broken windows, doors, boiler radiators removed from walls, and significant water damage.

Crime Stoppers of Sault Ste. Marie and Algoma District in partnership with Sudbury Rainbow Crime Stoppers and the Elliot Lake Ontario Provincial Police are looking for your assistance in the matter of a break, enter, and theft.

Sometime during the overnight hours of January 26th,2023, unknown suspects attended a retail location on Ontario Avenue in Elliot Lake. The suspects broke into the location and stole various electronics, including two large-screen televisions, a DVR, and a safe. A display case was also broken into and several cellular phones were stolen. 

The estimated value of the stolen property and cash taken is $25,000.

Crime Stoppers and the Sault Ste Marie Ontario Provincial Police are requesting your assistance in identifying suspect(s) involved in numerous incidents of Theft over the Family Day weekend.  

A black Mission snowmobile trailer was reported stolen from Mile 38 Road in Tilly Township north of Sault Ste Marie. A tri-fold snowmobile ramp was also reported stolen from the area.  Police located and recovered the snowmobile trailer in the City of Sault Ste Marie, but the ramp remains outstanding.   A catalytic converter was also cut from a parked Ford F150 truck at the beach parking lot of Lower Island Lake in Aweres Township.
