Pedestrian Killed by Hit and Run Driver on I-10

A man was killed by a hit-and-run driver on Interstate 10 on El Paso’s Westside. Crime Stoppers of El Paso and the El Paso Police Department asks for help to find the driver involved through the Crime of the Week.
 
On Friday, February 10, 2023, at 8:37 P.M., 42-year-old Cesar David Rodriguez was crossing Interstate 10-West from north to south. As Rodriguez entered the roadway a vehicle traveling on the right lane of I-10 West struck him and fled. Rodriguez died at the scene. Investigators have found evidence suggesting that the vehicle involved is a maroon-colored S.U.V. Investigators believe the vehicle could be a 2015 or 2016 Honda CRV and will have some damage.

Tips Sought on I-10 Murder

Investigators continue to seek leads on a man who was fatally shot on I-10 East near Americas. Crime Stoppers of El Paso and the El Paso Police Department ask for help to identify those involved in this murder through the Crime of the Week.
 
On Saturday, September 10, 2022, at 7:20 P.M., 32-year-old, Israel Corral was driving a gray 2012 Honda Accord on I-10 East. Investigators believe Corral became involved in a road rage incident with another motorist. During that road rage incident, the driver or occupant of another vehicle fired a gun at Corral fatally wounding him. Corral’s vehicle came to rest on the on-ramp to loop 375 from I-10 East. The road rage incident may have begun near Hawkins and continued to the exit for Loop 375.

Man Is Killed After Road Rage Incident In East El Paso

EL PASO, TEXAS – A road rage incident ends with a man killed in East El Paso. Crime Stoppers of El Paso and the El Paso Police Department ask for help in identifying the person involved in this murder through this week’s Crime of The Week.  

 

On Thursday, February 18, 2021, 39-year old Jose Guzman, was traveling with his family on Joe Battle.  Guzman became involved in a road rage incident with another driver.   

 

Guzman exited Joe Battle and pulled into a parking lot at 1201 Bob Hope.  The suspect also exited and pulled into the parking lot.  Guzman exited his car and walked toward the suspect’s vehicle.  The suspect accelerated his vehicle towards the victim, struck him and fled.  Jose Guzman died days later from his injuries.  The suspect vehicle is a 4-door red or burgundy car and will have damage to the front right side.

Two Men Hold Up Downtown Clothing Store

Two men hold up a downtown clothing store at gunpoint. Crime Stoppers of El Paso and the El Paso Police Department ask for help identifying these violent robbers through the Crime of The Week.
 
On Thursday, December 15, at 6:26 P.M., two men walked into the Star Western Wear at 112 E. Overland and approached one of the registers. One of the men was armed with a handgun. The men threatened the store employee and demanded money. The men fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash.
 
Both men are Hispanic. The first is in his 30’s, thin, 5’6” in height, and was wearing a black hooded sweater, blue jeans, and white shoes. The second man is in his mid-20s 5’9” in height, he wore a black hooded sweater, dark green jacket, black pants, and black shoes.

Tips Sought to Identify Man Who Shot at Family

A man shoots at a family as a result of a road-rage incident in El Paso’s Westside. Crime Stoppers of El Paso and the El Paso Police Department ask for help to identify this man through the Crime of the Week.
 
On Saturday, November 5, at about 7 P.M., a woman driving an S.U.V. with her family made a U-turn on Mesa and Crossroads. The woman turned in front of a white sports car that reportedly was driving without headlights. The driver of the car exchanged words with an occupant of the S.U.V. Both vehicles came to stop near the G.E.C.U. at 7955 N. Mesa. The driver of the car exited with a handgun fired at the victims and fled. No injuries were reported. There was a male passenger in the car.
 
The suspect is a Hispanic male, with a dark complexion, in his late teens or early 20s. He was wearing a white shirt and a black cap.

Man Vandalizes Catholic Church

A man vandalized a Catholic church in East El Paso.  The man was recorded by security cameras. Crime Stoppers of El Paso and the El Paso Police Department ask for help to identify the vandal through the Crime of the Week.

 

On Wednesday, October 23, at 4:50 A.M., a man arrived at St. Stephan’s at 1700 George Dieter. The man approached the glass doors of the church and began to engrave letter markings or graffiti on the doors permanently damaging the glass.  The estimated damage to the church is $3,000.  The suspect appears to be a white male with a light complexion, in his late 20s to early 30s and has visible tattoos on his left arm and both legs.

 

The man was wearing a dark baseball cap, a red tee shirt, and dark-colored shorts.  The man fled in a 1998 to 2006 light-colored Lincoln Navigator.

Assistance Needed Identifying Teen Burglars

At least four vehicles were burglarized in an East El Paso neighborhood. Crime Stoppers of El Paso and the El Paso Police Department ask for help to identify these teens through the Crime of the Week.

 

On Monday, August 8, 2022, four vehicles were burglarized in the Lomas Del Este neighborhood.  Investigators found the burglarized vehicles on Loma Adriana and Loma Jacinto.  The security video from several homes recorded the suspects opening doors to various vehicles and ransacking them for items to steal. The suspects appear to be in their mid-teens to late teens.   Investigators are certain that someone has information on these teen burglars.

Search Continues for Those Involved in Deadly Hit and Run
August 26, 2022

 

A soldier on active duty was killed by a driver that fled the scene.  Crime Stoppers of El Paso and the El Paso Police Department continue to search for those responsible through the Crime of the Week. +

On Sunday, June 12, 2022, at 12:35 A.M., 20-year-old Alyssa Rae Clinger crossed the 1500 block of Lee Trevino.  She was walking from the west curb to the east curb when a truck going south struck her.  The driver did not stop and fled the scene southbound on Lee Trevino.  Clinger was critically injured in the crash and died days later.  Clinger was an active duty soldier at Fort Bliss.

Investigators found evidence that the suspect vehicle is a dark-colored, GMC Sierra pickup truck or Chevrolet Silverado. In addition, investigators found a video of two men who are believed to have been in the truck.  The truck will have front-end damage from this crash. Investigators know that someone in our community knows who this driver is.

Search Continues For Suspects in Westside Shooting

A man was shot at a traffic light on El Paso’s westside. Crime Stoppers of El Paso and the El Paso Police Department asks for help finding the individuals involved in this shooting through the Crime of the Week.
 
On Sunday, August 7, 2022, a 24-year-old man drove on the 1000 block of Sunland Park Drive near I-10. A black sedan pulled up next to the victim at a traffic light. The passenger in the sedan pulled out a handgun and fired it at the victim. The victim’s injuries were non-life threatening. Investigators found security cameras that recorded the suspect’s vehicle.
 
The vehicle is a black, 4-door BMW 5-Series and is believed to be around a 2008 model. Investigators know that someone has information on those involved.

Tips Sought To Identify Hit & Run Driver

A man was critically injured by a hit-and-run driver on El Paso’s eastside. Crime Stoppers of El Paso and the El Paso Police Department asks for help finding the driver involved through the Crime of the Week.
 
On Tuesday, July 19, 2022, a 64-year-old man crossed the 3400 block of McLean from the east curb to the west curb. As the victim approached the west curb, a vehicle traveling south struck the man and fled. Investigators located security video that captured the suspected vehicle. Based on the security footage, the suspect vehicle is a dark-colored sedan, and fled the scene westbound on Edgemere. The 64-year-old man was critically injured in the incident and remains hospitalized. Investigators are certain that someone has information on the driver responsible.

On Tuesday, July 19, 2022, a security video captured a man walking upstairs to the second floor of the Days Inn at 10635 Gateway West.
Moments later, the same man drives off in an S.U.V. and fires a handgun once at a motel room on the second floor. The suspect then drives around a second time and fires multiple times in the same room. The suspect fled the scene in a dark-colored 2006 to 2010 Ford Explorer. The suspect appears to be a White or Hispanic male with long hair and wears glasses.

On Saturday, July 23, 2022, a large house party took place at home on the 14100 block of Honey Point. At 2:20 A.M., shots were fired at the party, and at least four people were injured. Tips Sought to Identify Burglars

On Friday, July 1, 2022, at 4:05 A.M., three men arrived at the Green House Smoke Shop at 607 Giles.  The men broke the glass front door to the business and went inside.  In a matter of two minutes, the suspects took $8,650 in merchandise.  The trio left and returned at 4:25 A.M., to steal additional merchandise. Security cameras recorded the suspects and investigators know someone knows who these burglars are. The suspects may have been in a white SUV or truck similar to a Ford Explorer.

Tips Sought On Identity of Robber

A man robbed a Central El Paso store and was recorded by security cameras.  Crime Stoppers of El Paso and the El Paso Police Department ask for help identifying this robber through the Crime of the Week.

 

On Thursday, June 2, 2022, El Paso Police responded to a robbery at the Family Dollar store located at 5018 Alameda.  The officers learned from witnesses that just before 9:40 P.M., the suspect walked into the store and approached the counter.  The suspect demanded money from the store and the store employee believed the suspect was armed.  The suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. According to witnesses, the suspect ran eastbound on Alameda.  The man is in his late 20’s or early 30’s, has a dark complexion, is thin, and is approximately 5’10” in height.

Leads Sought In Homicide Investigation

A man was found dead in his Central El Paso apartment, and foul play is suspected.  Crime Stoppers of El Paso and the El Paso Police Department ask for help in this homicide investigation, through the Crime of the Week.
 
On Monday, June 20, 2022, El Paso Police Officers responded to the request for a welfare check at an apartment at 1201 N. Laurel.  The Officers found 49-year-old Juan Francisco Grajeda dead inside the apartment.  El Paso Police Detectives through their investigation believe foul play to be involved in Grajeda’s death. Investigators continue searching for leads and know that someone has information on this case.

Sheriff’s Detectives Search For Leads In Murder Case

A man was murdered almost one year ago in a desert area in East El Paso County.  Crime Stoppers of El Paso, and the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help in finding the killers through the Crime of The Week.

 

In the early morning of Sunday, July 11, 2021, at 3:18 A.M., a shooting was reported at 1300 Joe Battle at the Socorro Student Activities Complex. Sheriff's Deputies found five people shot in a desert area behind the complex. Four of the victims were taken to area hospitals, and the fifth victim, 21-year-old Cruz Eli Arredondo died at the scene.  Detectives assigned to the Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit responded to the scene and took charge of the investigation.

Burglar Steals $18,000 In Jewelry From Store

A man burglarized an East El Paso store and stole $18,000 in Jewelry. Crime Stoppers of El Paso and the El Paso Police Department asks for help in identifying this burglar through the Crime of The Week.
 
On the night of Wednesday, March 30, 2022, at 11:27 P.M., the suspect is captured on security cameras breaking the front glass window of the Kohl’s Department store located at 1319 George Dieter at the las Palmas Market Place. As the man enters the store he goes to the jewelry section, pulls out a handgun, and uses it to break the display cases. The suspect takes $18,000 in jewelry and caused an estimated $1,000 in damages to the store.
 
The suspect is described as White or Hispanic, has a heavy build, and has a distinct limp as he walks. On the day of the burglary, he was wearing a light-colored baseball cap, a black facemask, a dark pullover sweater, blue denim jeans, and white athletic shoes. The suspect fled the scene in a Hyundai Sonata.

Man Is Brutally Beaten and Stabbed

On the early morning of Tuesday, November 16, 2021, at 2:00 A.M., a 51-year-old man was at the 100 block of Brown.  Witnesses heard that man laughing and a while later saw the 51-year old brutally attacked by a man wearing a red jacket.  The victim was seriously beaten and stabbed multiple times. Investigators believe that someone has information on this brutal attack.
