Williamson County SO Homicide - Update

UPDATED - The vehicle and person of interest have been identified -

 

Williamson County Sheriff’s Office Detectives are investigating related shootings that left one teen dead and another injured that occurred on the night of July 6, 2022.

 

Following a 911 call, Williamson County Deputies responded to a reported shooting in southeastern Williamson County, outside the Pflugerville city limits. When deputies arrived on the scene, they found a 15-year-old male with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

 

Shortly after arriving on scene, WCSO received information that another 15-year-old male had been found dead in the area of the State Highway 130 toll road, north of State Highway 45. Investigators determined that teen had also been shot and that both shootings were related to one another.  It was also reported that a newer model, dark-colored, 4-door sedan was related to these shootings.

 

WCSO Detectives are asking anyone with any information regarding these shootings or having information regarding a newer model, dark-colored, 4-door sedan missing a passenger side window to contact the WCSO Criminal Investigations Division at 512-943-5204.

Homicide Investigation

The Round Rock Police are seeking information regarding this gray SUV involved in an April 20 drive-by shooting in the 1600-block of Pine Knoll Drive in Austin. We believe the occupants of this vehicle are connected to the April 19 homicide in the 1600-block of Gattis School Road in Round Rock.

Theft of Australian Shepherd - "Max"

Thieves
February 20, 2022

The Leander Police Department needs YOUR HELP!

On 02/07/22, at around 3:30 pm, three suspects entered the Kohl’s department store, located at 1245 S. Hwy 183, in Leander and stole numerous Fitbits, totaling over $8,000. The suspects are described as:

Suspect 1 - Hispanic male, brown hair, brown eyes, 5`8"-5`10", mid 30`s, 180-200lbs, dark blue Under-Armour hoodie and sweatpants, black Under-Armour running shoes with a white sole. Wearing an all-black mask. Visible close-trimmed beard under mask.

Suspect 2 - Hispanic female, long brown hair, brown eyes, late 20`s early 30`s brownish black plastic rimmed glasses, long black (knee length) down style jacket, with a light-colored hoodie under, jeans with superficial tears on both legs, knee high black boots w/sliver buckle around ankle. Large dark printed bag on left shoulder.

Suspect 3 - Hispanic female, brown hair in a bun, brown eyes, multicolored face mask, black jogger style pants, black long sleeve shirt with a dog and a cat wearing glasses, gold sandals. Large satchel style purse on her right hip.

Suspect Vehicle - The suspects were also seen arriving and leaving the scene in a white, Toyota minivan.

Stolen Meat
December 20, 2021

The Leander Police Department is requesting the public's assistance in identifying these theft suspects:

 

On December 17th at approximately 10:30AM, two males entered the Super Valle Meat Market, in the 200 block of Sonny Drive and stole over $500 (over 100 lb) of meat. The males are Hispanic males. One is stocky build, possibly in his 40’s, the other is thin and possibly in his 20’s.  The males left the scene in a White Chevrolet SUV.

Identification Needed - Indecent Exposure

On September 27, 2021, Williamson County SO Deputies responded to an indecent exposure call in the Stone Canyon Subdivision, Round Rock, Texas.

 

The pictured suspect was reported to follow females who were walking in the neighborhood and when one female interacted with him, the suspect pulled down his shorts and began to masturbate in the view of the victim.  The suspect then took off running from the area, however his image was captured on neighborhood video.

Hit Skip Accident

Murder Suspect

At approximately 6:30am Monday (07/26/2021), Round Rock Police Officers responded to a report of gun shots on N IH-35, south of Louis Henna Blvd. Once on scene, Officers found a deceased adult male in a parking lot. It is believed he was shot by the occupants of a pickup truck that left the scene.

Mail Theft & Auto Burglary

The Texas Department of Public Safety and the Leander Police Department are asking the public’s help in identifying the below pictured subjects.  At around 4 am on 05/23/21 these individuals are suspected of mail theft and a burglary of a motor vehicle in the Crystal Falls/Mira Vista area of Leander.  Both individuals appear to be either white or Hispanic males, approximately 5'8"-5"10" tall and weighing between 150-175 pounds.  In addition, the suspects were recorded leaving the scene in a 4 door, newer model Mercedes.  The Mercedes also has a distinct "bear" sticker on the rear window.

WANTED CAPITAL MURDER - RAYMOND SALAZAR, JR

Raymond Salazar Jr. was apprehended Tuesday morning in Southeast Houston by the U.S. Marshals Service Gulf Coast Violent Offender and Fugitive Task Force. He is being booked into Fort Bend County Jail on a charge of Capital Murder, stemming from a September 2020 incident in Round Rock. Thank you to the USMS Lone Star Fugitive Task Force, Federal Bureau of Investigation Violent Crimes Task Force, Texas Department of Public Safety, Houston Gang Task Force, and other agencies for assisting with this case.

Hutto Police Department Press Release
May 20, 2021

The Hutto Police Department conducted a lengthy investigation into narcotics sales to youth in and around the City of Hutto, including Hutto High School students on their lunch break.

On 05/17/21, the Hutto Police Department executed a narcotic search warrant in reference to this case in the 200 block of Spring Garden Drive in Hutto. As a result of the search warrant narcotics, cash and loaded firearms were seized. The primary suspect, an adult male, was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance With Intent to Deliver which is a 1st Degree Felony. The suspect was transported to the Williamson County Jail. The suspect has been released on $30,000 bond. This is an open active case.

Jewelry Store Fraud
April 22, 2021

Williamson County (Texas) Sheriff’s Office needs your help to identify and/or locate the above pictured suspects who appear to be traveling to numerous states conducting fraud/credit scams at high end jewelry stores.  On April 1, 2021 these suspects used a victim’s stolen identity to defraud and purchase over $40K for 2 watches at a jewelry store in Cedar Park, Texas.  Two days later this same pair attempted to commit a similar offense at a jewelry store in Alabama.  This is a certain indicator that these criminal are on the move to conduct additional crimes.

Hit and Run
March 30, 2021

Round Rock Police Department Needs your help.

On March 14 at about 1:00 a.m., Angel Contreras was walking along IH-35 near the La Margarita Restaurant (just north of Sam Bass Rd) when he was struck and killed by a vehicle travelling southbound on IH-35. Investigation has determined that the vehicle that struck Angel was a 1996 to 2002 white in color Chevy Express van very similar to the one in the attached picture. The van was loaded down with boxes/luggage on top of it. After striking Angel, the van immediately exited IH-35 at RM 620/Round Rock Avenue.

 

Round Rock Police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating the vehicle involved in this accident. The van will have headlight and molding damage on the right front of the van, as well as damage to the passenger’s side mirror.

Wanted Suspect
December 29, 2020

STATUS: APPREHENDED

The Austin Police need your help to locate a suspect who fired shots at an officer on Christmas Eve.  They have identified 41-year-old Louis Rhyne as the suspect of the shooting, which occurred just after midnight on Dec. 24 in the intersection of Travis Green Lane and Hero Drive in Southwest Austin.   The incident stemmed from a traffic stop during which an Austin police officer tried to pull over a car that had duct tape covering the license plate. Police said the suspect sped away and fired several shots at the officer. The officer was not injured in the shooting.

Attempted ATM Theft - Cedar Park
