Telly Simmons, 42 was fatally shot at an apartment complex on Bert Road in the Arlington area and was found dead in his car on the Mathews Bridge. There were bullet holes in the car and shell casings and a gun were found at the apartments on Bert Road. Police did not have a description of the shooter.
Double Homicide
On Sunday, October 29, 2017, police responded to a shooting at W. 28th Street and Stuart Street. Two men were gunned down. On man died at the scene and the second victim has died from his injuries. The victims have been identified as Darnell Dues and Dorian Brown.

On Tuesday, October 17th, A 26-year-old Middleburg man was struck and killed in a hit-and-run crash in Orange Park, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
Just before 8 a.m., troopers said, Clay County deputies found the man, identified as Dorrien Earl Mann, lying on Capella Road between Uranus Lane and Centura Drive -- in a residential area several blocks off Blanding Blvd.
Paramedics pronounced Mann dead at the scene.

On Sunday, October 15th, a man was found dead in a ditch on Armstrong Street near the intersection of Lem Turner Road, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said.
The Jacksonville Fire Rescue Department arrived at the area about 9 a.m. and found the body of a John Fairclough, 38, police said.

Attached is a composite sketch of the unknown suspect for the incident on Portsmouth Avenue. The suspect was described as a black male, 20-25 years of age, 5’6”-5’8”, 160-170 pounds. The suspect was described as having a faded afro hairstyle and was wearing a grey shirt and jeans.

33-year-old William "Will" Chrisman was shot and killed early Wednesday, Sept. 27th, in the parking lot of a Westside strip club, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office. He was a father and military veteran.
Loved ones said Chrisman worked as a security guard at Flash Dancers Gentlemen's Club on Blanding Boulevard at San Juan Avenue. Chrisman was trying to break up a huge fight that broke out about 1 a.m. inside the club after a man hit one of the dancers, according to friends.
Police said the altercation carried out into the parking lot, where a gunman and another man got into a vehicle then shot Chrisman as they were driving away.
Chrisman was taken to a hospital, where he died.
Homicide detectives interviewed witnesses and reviewed surveillance video from inside the club. Investigators said there were several persons of interest, but no suspects were identified.

Heath was found shot multiple times on Indian Lakes Drive on Jacksonville's Westside and later died at the hospital from his injuries. Police said the suspected shooter was a light-skinned black male with dreadlocks pulled back into a ponytail, wearing a black shirt and black gym shorts. No other information has been released.
Tyreak Wyche, of Jacksonville, was the victim of the homicide, police said. Officers responded about 11:30 p.m. on Sept. 12 to the deadly shooting on Shenandoah Avenue near the intersection of Old Kings Road and Edgewood Avenue North.
