On Monday, May 29th, Jared Mobley was killed and another man was wounded in a double shooting at The Roosevelt Gardens Apartments on Lincoln Court North in the Hogans Creek neighborhood. Police had no description of the shooter.

On Friday, May 12th, Around 8:30 am, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 11291 Harts Road, Canopy Creek Apartments, regarding a shooting.
Upon arrival a black male who had been shot was found at the scene and transported to local hospital.
The victim died as a result of his injuries, he was identified as 17 year old DeQual Anthony Smiley. The shooter fled from the scene.
Police identified the victim as Brian Anthony Mason. Police were alerted just before 2 a.m. about a shooting on East 9th Street and Market Street. Upon arrival, they found a man laying on the sidewalk and transported him to the hospital, where he died.
There were no witnesses, and it is unclear if someone heard the gunshots and called police or if someone found the man`s body and reported it, the Sheriff`s Office said.
A man found dead inside a dumpster that caught fire at an Eastside warehouse on Clark Street in late January has been identified as Oscar Phillips, 59, of Jacksonville. The death has been ruled a homicide but police have not released a cause of death.
Initially, the gender and race of the body were unidentifiable.
On Thursday, March 9, 2017 at 9:20 p.m. police responded to the 5300 block of Lamar Drive North regarding a shooting. Upon arrival two males were found shot at this location. One victim was deceased at the scene, the other victim was transported to a local hospital. The deceased male has been identified as James A. McClatchy.

Early Sunday morning, March 19, 2017, a burglary occurred at the Red Ryder Armory, 6690 Columbia Park Drive, Suite 1, Jacksonville, FL 32258. Multiple firearms were stolen and the suspect vehicle is a dark colored four door sedan.

Kyree Corley, 22, was killed in the shooting and four other people were injured when shots were fired from an automatic weapon as rap musicians Boosie Badazz and Baby Soulja recorded a video at Moncrief Road and Myrtle Avenue.
Police said three of those injured suffered minor injuries, but the fourth person was taken into surgery.
Police did not know how many shots were fired, the type of weapon used or even if the gun had been fired by someone who was at the event or driving by. According to the incident report, police are only searching for one suspect.
Many of the 30 people gathered at the music video set were filming on their phones, police said. Homicide investigators have asked bystanders to provide those videos to police to help them find out who opened fire.

Police said someone fired around 40 shots from the street into the parking lot of Kelly`s Place, a bar on Kings Avenue. A silver Honda Accord was sprayed with bullets.

On October 21st, 2016,Jacksonville Sheriff`s Office homicide detectives were called to Greek Road near Lindsey Road about 7 a.m. after a resident reported a body. Police identified the victim as 34 year old, Desmond Jacobs, but have not said anything about his death other than that foul play was involved
The Jacksonville Sheriff`s Office just released new photos/video of two vehicles, that they believe to be part of the crime.
Police are looking for any information about Desmond Jacobs murder near the Normandy Athletic Association that early October morning.
