Mother of 4 Found Dead, Shalinda Rosier-Police Need Our Help!

Police have identified the woman found dead Saturday night, January 16th, near the intersection of Myrtle Avenue and Harper Street as 22-year-old Shalinda Rosier, and have called her death a homicide.

The Jacksonville Sheriff`s Office said police were flagged down about 10 p.m. and told about the body. At the time they called it an undetermined death.

Family members say she was at a party before her body was found near the intersection of North Myrtle Avenue and Dennis Street. Police said it was a homicide

Police gave no information about a cause or manner of death, but asked anyone with information about the case to call the Jacksonville Sheriff`s Office at 904-630-0500. Maurice Sutton Murder

On Thursday, Jan. 14th, at 4:20 am, Maurice Cardell Sutton, 33, was found shot to death in the parking lot of a day care near Panama Park, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff`s Office.  Police say that officers were flagged down near West 48th Street and North Main Street, near Northshore Elementary School, early Thursday morning after someone found a body on the ground.

Kenya Davis Murderer Sought

Late Sunday evening, January 3rd, police responded to multiple calls of shots fired at 4800 Ortega Farms Blvd.  Kenya Davis, 42,  was killed and a man was wounded in a shooting inside the Ortega Pines apartment complex around midnight Monday, according to police.  There is no information on a possible shooter. Jackie Lee Harris Murdered in His Own Home

On Friday, August 21st, 2015, just after midnight, Jackie Harris was found shot to death in his home at the La Esperanza apartment complex. He had been shot multiple times. The apartment complex is located 3800 University Boulevard South. Police need our help in solving this crime.  Jackie`s sister, Vikki said, "My family needs answers and justice for my brother."

On Wednesday, October 28th, 2015,  A burning car led investigators to make a grim discovery Wednesday night when they found a woman’s body inside a residence in the Hyde Park area of Jacksonville, authorities said.

Police were called to a report of a burning car in the 2500 block of Hyde Park Road about 8:30 p.m., according to the Florida Highway Patrol. When they arrived, they tracked the plate to a residence in the 6200 block of Harlow Boulevard, police said.

That’s where investigators found a 61-year-old Bradla Sue Cook dead under suspicious circumstances inside her home. Foul play is suspected, the Sheriff’s Office said.

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is in need of the public’s assistance in the investigation of the July 22nd, 2015 shooting at The Blind Rabbit restaurant, 901 King Street.  The victim, Daniel E. Rowe, 20, died from injuries sustained in the shooting. He was an employee of the restaurant, working at the time. The shooting occurred in the rear of the business shortly after 10pm.

 

The investigation is continuing and no motive has been determined, however a witness observed two black males fleeing the scene.

JSO Seeks Burglary Suspect's Identity

JACKSONVILLE, FL (October 5, 2015) - The Jacksonville Sheriff`s Office is asking for the community`s assistance in identifying a burglary suspect that struck on the City`s southside.

In the early morning hours of Wednesday, September 16, 2015, a burglary was committed at the King Food Mart in the 10700 block of Beach Boulevard. As seen in surveillance footage, an unknown individual approached the front of the business and threw what appears to be a large piece of concrete into the front door which allowed him to gain entry. Once inside, the suspect took numerous items before leaving the area.

On Monday, August 10, 2015 a sexual battery was reported in the Area of University Boulevard North between Merrill Road and Fort Caroline Road. The victim was an 8 year old female child who emerged from a patch of woods and approached a nearby individual. Very little information is known about the suspect.   The Jacksonville Sheriff`s Office wanted the public to be aware of the incident and cautioned those living in the surrounding areas to be mindful of their children.

Hit & Run on JTB and Interstate 295

Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash involving a motorcycle on Interstate 295 near Butler Boulevard. According to troopers, 43-year-old Bret Castleberry was hit by a dark-colored SUV that didn`t stop around 5:30 Saturday morning in the southbound lanes of I-295.

Teen killed 5 years ago; family still wants answers
August 18, 2015

On Saturday, March 20th, 2010, 16-year-old Tiphne Hollis was shot and killed in the 2500 block of Calvin Street.  Tiphne was riding in a car with family members when a gunman opened fire on the car.

On the 20th of every month since then, her mother has held a walk at the scene of the shooting in hopes of finding the shooter.
