Prattville Police Investigators originally released photos of unknown suspects wanted for a felony theft investigation. Investigators say the offense occurred on September 24, 2024, at a business in the 900 block of South Memorial Drive, Prattville, AL.
Investigators say the pictured suspects, identified as two black males, stole multiple tobacco products valued at approximately over $500.00. The suspects concealed the items and left the business in an unknown direction.
Both suspects were wanted for theft of property 3rd degree, which is a Class D felony.
Investigators say thanks to an anonymous tip, the suspect seen wearing a blue shirt was identified and is no longer being sought by law enforcement. Upon arrival, an adult male who sustained a life-threatening gunshot wound was located and transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Investigators say the victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the hospital. The victim was identified as Marquaries Williams, 34, of Montgomery, Alabama.
