The Montgomery Police Department notified Central Alabama CrimeStoppers and advised they made an arrest in the August 25, 2023, murder of a 15-year-old.  Police continue to seek the public’s help with identifying the remaining suspect.

 

On Friday, August 25, 2023, at about 10:10 p.m., police and fire medics responded to a shooting that occurred in the 4800 block of Park Towne Way, Montgomery, Alabama. Upon arrival, units located a 15-year-old juvenile male who sustained a life-threatening gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased. Due to the juvenile’s age, his identity has not been released at this time.

On Tuesday, September 15, 2023, investigators requested assistance from CrimeStoppers and released a photo of two unknown suspects being sought for their involvement in the shooting. Investigators say one of the suspects was quickly identified shortly after CrimeStoppers press release regarding the investigation was released to the media and the public. Police say one suspect in the photo is still at large and has not been identified at this time and police are asking for the public’s assistance with the identification of the remaining suspect.

Investigators say Saquavion Denard, 19, of Montgomery, was identified as one of the suspects and was taken into police custody on September 6, 2023, and charged with Capital Murder and two counts of Robbery 1st Degree. Denard was transported to the Montgomery County Detention Facility where he is being held on no bond.

Wetumpka Police Investigators released a photo of two unknown subjects wanted for the offense that occurred, on August 14, 2023, at a local business located in the 600 block of Coosa River Parkway in Wetumpka, Alabama. Investigators say the suspects, identified as two black males, entered the business at this location, made a fraudulent purchase using a credit card, and stole over $2,500.00 in property. The suspects left the business in an unknown direction of travel in a 2016 Nissan Maxima, white in color with a Texas Tag of NDG8535. There are no other details available for release at this time.

The Prattville Police Department notified Central Alabama CrimeStoppers and advised they have identified the suspect involved in a Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument investigation.

 

On August 24, 2023, Prattville Police Investigators released a photo of an unknown subject wanted for criminal possession of a forged instrument that occurred, on Friday, August 18, 2023, at about 2:40 p.m. at a financial institution located on Main Street, Prattville, Alabama. Investigators say the pictured suspect entered the business and attempted to cash a counterfeit check with what appeared to be a stolen ID.

 

An anonymous tipster contacted CrimeStoppers and provided information that helped investigators identify the suspect. Investigators say this information was greatly appreciated and was useful in the investigation.

On Friday, August 25, 2023, at about 7:55 p.m., police and fire medics responded to a shooting that occurred in the 4200 block of Sussex Drive, Montgomery, Alabama. Investigators say an adult male who sustained a life-threatening gunshot wound was located on the scene. The victim was pronounced deceased on the scene and was identified as Rickey Daniel, 66.

 

Investigators released a photo of an unknown black female currently being sought for questioning in this ongoing homicide investigation and are asking for the public’s assistance with identifying this person of interest.

The Bullock County Sheriff’s Office contacted Central Alabama CrimeStoppers and requested public assistance identifying two robbery suspects involved in an August 27, 2023, business robbery.

Investigators say they responded to a business robbery that occurred on Sunday, August 27, 2023, at around 6:20 p.m. at a business located in the 33000 block of U.S. Highway 82, Midway, Alabama. Investigators say the two suspects entered the business armed with firearms and demanded currency. The suspects took approximately $700.00 in assorted U.S. currency and left the scene on foot toward County Road 47.

Investigators are releasing video surveillance footage of the two suspects involved in the robbery. The suspects were both identified as black males, one wearing a white hooded sweatshirt, black pants, and black and gray-in-color Air Jordan Retro 4 shoes, the other male was seen wearing a face mask, navy-in-color sweatshirt, black pants, and black-in-color Air Jordan Retro 6 shoes.

The suspects are wanted for robbery 2nd degree, a class B felony.

Auburn Police Department is reaching out to the community for assistance in connection with two separate incidents involving inappropriate physical contact. Both events occurred on August 23, 2023, on Samford Avenue.

 

At approximately 10:00 AM, a female pedestrian was walking in the vicinity of East Samford Avenue and Pinedale Drive when she reported an incident of inappropriate touching. The suspect, described as a black male with shoulder length dreadlocks and wearing dark clothing, groped the victim. Authorities are actively seeking information from any witnesses or individuals who might have information regarding the identity of the suspect.

At approximately 6:00 PM, a different female pedestrian reported a similar incident on Samford Avenue near Chewacla Drive and Hillcrest Drive. In this instance, the victim was reportedly grabbed by a male suspect, who emerged from the nearby bushes. The description of the suspect closely matches the one provided in the earlier incident, a black male with shoulder length dreadlocks. A photo of the suspect in this incident was captured (attached).

Opelika Police Investigators released a photo of an unknown suspect wanted for burglary. The offense occurred, on July 31, 2023, around 7:15 a.m. at a residence located in the 200 block of Smith Court, Opelika, Alabama.

 

Investigators say the victim was notified that the motion sensor was activated on their security cameras on July 31, 2023. When they returned home, they noticed their window had been broken. The same residence had been burglarized a few weeks prior. The suspect, identified as a black male, can be seen on security camera footage wearing a black hat, shorts, and black shoes. Additional images of the suspect from separate incidents are being released by investigators. It is possible that the suspect is the same individual in all incidents.

Investigators say surveillance video shows the suspect, who appears to be a slim white male with dark hair and a tattoo of a heart with wings on his left bicep unlawfully entering the business. Once inside, the suspect took keys to a box truck, stole the vehicle, and left the scene in an unknown direction of travel.
