The Opelika Police Department is investigating a theft and is seeking the public’s help in identifying the suspect.
Opelika Police Investigators released a photo of an unknown suspect wanted for a retail felony theft investigation. The offense occurred, on June 6, 2023, at Best Buy located at 2147 Tiger Town Parkway, Opelika, Alabama. Investigators say the pictured suspect entered the business around 10:19 a.m. and used another person’s identity and personal information to apply for and obtain a Best Buy credit card. The pictured suspect purchased a total of stole $4,435.00 worth of merchandise with the Best Buy credit card and left the business. The suspect left the scene in a gray sedan with tinted windows in an unknown direction of travel.
Investigators say surveillance video shows the suspect, identified as a black male, falsely obtained the credit card and stole merchandise. The suspect was seen wearing a black hat, a gray button-down shirt over a black t-shirt, khaki shorts, and white and orange sneakers. There are no other details available for release at this time.
The suspect is wanted for theft of property 1st degree, a Class B felony.

The Thomasville Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting and seeks the public’s help in identifying the suspect.
On Saturday evening, May 20, 2023, at around 7:22 p.m., police responded to Johnson Street and Bettis Avenue, Thomasville, AL, in reference to a shooting. The victim involved was transported by personal vehicle to a local hospital for treatment.
Investigators responded to an area hospital and located one victim who sustained a life-threatening gunshot wound. The victim, Andy Crawford Jr., succumbed to his injuries several days later and was pronounced deceased.
Investigators say the victim was a passenger in a tan-colored, Honda Civic, driving in the area of Johnson Street and Bettis Avenue when an unknown subject fired multiple shots toward the occupants of the vehicle. The passenger, Crawford Jr., was wounded by the gunfire. The driver of the vehicle immediately drove the victim to a local hospital for treatment.

The suspect attempted to use the credit cards at a nearby Walmart shortly after the theft.
Investigators say surveillance video helped identify the suspect as a black male, wearing red pants, a white t-shirt, a black and white hat, and light-colored Crocs. There are no other details available for release at this time.

Greenville Police Investigators released a photo and video of an unknown subject wanted for multiple vehicle burglaries. The offenses occurred, Monday, June 5, 2023, and Monday, June 12, 2023, in the areas of Hillcrest Drive, Westwood Circle, Woodvalley Road, and West Gamble Street, Greenville, Alabama. Investigators say the suspect unlawfully entered eight vehicles and stole property that included three firearms and assorted U.S. currency.

Prattville Police Investigators released a photo of an unknown suspect wanted for a felony theft investigation. Investigators say the offense occurred, Saturday, May 27, 2023, at Walmart, 1903 Cobbs Ford Road, Prattville, AL.
Investigators say the pictured suspect entered the business, loaded a comforter set, (2) large electric scooters, and (3) small electric scooters into his shopping cart. After walking around the store, the suspect goes into the garden center area, exiting the store through the fire exit, where an unknown individual in a black Honda Accord (unknown tag number) was waiting on him. The suspect loaded the merchandise into the vehicle and left the scene without purchasing or attempting to purchase the items. The total of the merchandise stolen from the business was valued at $1,444.00.
The male suspect, described as a black male, was captured on video surveillance cameras wearing an orangish-colored floppy hat, Auburn-themed shoes or flip-flops, jeans, and wearing a white t-shirt. There are no other details available for release at this time.

Investigators released photos of two unknown subjects wanted for an ongoing felony vehicle burglary investigation. The offenses occurred, Saturday, May 27, 2023, at Union Boat Ramp, Dadeville, Alabama. Investigators say the suspects burglarized multiple vehicles at this location and left the scene in an unknown direction of travel in an off-white four-door vehicle, possibly a Lincoln Town Car.
