On Sunday, May 14, 2023, at approximately 1:05 a.m., officers with the Talladega Police Department were dispatched to the area of the intersection of AL Highway 275 / Allen Street in reference to a hit-and-run involving a pedestrian. Upon arrival, officers located the scene and found the victim, an adult male, lying partially in the roadway on the northbound side. The victim was identified as Andrew Lee Jobson, 34, of Munford, AL. Jobson was pronounced deceased on the scene.

Millbrook Police Investigators released a photo of a female wanted for cashing a fraudulent check, on March 21, 2023, at a financial institution located in the 3100 Block of AL Highway 14, Millbrook, AL. Investigators say the female cashed a fraudulent check and received cash. The suspect immediately left the business in an unknown direction of travel. The teller determined the check was fraudulent a short time after the original transaction occurred. There is no other information available currently.

The suspect, described as a black female, was viewed on security cameras wearing a black coat and a white shirt. Investigators say they believe the suspect is Tekyra Williams. Williams is believed to be from Chicago, Illinois.

The Montgomery Police Department notified Central Alabama CrimeStoppers and advised they have identified and charged the suspect involved in the May 13, 2023, homicide.

 

On Sunday, May 13, 2023, at about 5:23 p.m. police responded to the 400 block of Finley Avenue in reference to shots fired in the area. Upon arrival, units located an adult female who sustained a life-threatening gunshot wound. The victim was pronounced deceased on the scene. The victim was identified as Deontae Vickers, 34, of Montgomery.

Investigators requested assistance from CrimeStoppers on May 15, 2023, and a $1,000.00 cash reward was offered for information regarding the investigation.

CrimeStoppers received a number of tips, and the original press release received a heavy amount of engagement from the media and our local community. As a result of this overwhelming response, investigators say a tipster provided information that identified the suspect. The tipster’s information was crucial in the investigation. As a result of this anonymous tipster’s information, the suspect was identified and charged.

 

Investigators say Nyeiasha Lykes, 23, of Montgomery, was identified as the suspect and charged with murder on May 17, 2023, and placed into police custody. Lykes is currently being held at Montgomery County Detention Facility under no bond.

Maplesville Police Investigators released a photo of two unknown subjects wanted for vandalizing a vending machine and stealing approximately $550.00 dollars in assorted currency.

 

The offense occurred, on December 3, 2022, in the early morning hours at Maplesville Supermarket, located on Highway 22. Investigators say the suspects forcibly entered the vending machine and stole currency. The suspects were seen on video wearing hooded sweatshirts and dark clothing. One suspect has a unique and noticeable tattoo on his hand. The suspects left the scene in an unknown direction of travel. The suspects were last seen driving a newer black model SUV.

The pictured suspect, described as a white male, entered the business, stole a DeWalt Pressure Washer, valued at $979.00, and left the scene.

The suspect was captured on video surveillance cameras and was seen wearing a military uniform with brown boots. On Tuesday, April 25, 2023, investigators say a Dallas County Detention Facility Detainee was transported to a local hospital emergency room to receive treatment for a possible medical emergency. It was there the detainee attempted to obtain prison contraband that was left for him by an unknown suspect, however, due to the swift response by Dallas County Investigators, the contraband was located on the detainee and confiscated prior to the detainee returning to the correctional facility.

Investigators say video surveillance cameras captured footage of the unknown suspect who left the contraband in a bathroom located near the emergency room. The contraband was strategically placed by the suspect to allow the detainee the ability to obtain the contraband and bring it unlawfully back to the correction facility. Investigators say the suspect is described as a black male, with a beard, wearing a t-shirt, and gray shorts. There are no other details available for release at this time.

The suspect is wanted for promoting prison contraband 2nd degree, a class C felony.
