Prattville Police Investigators released photos of an unknown suspect wanted for a theft investigation. Investigators say the offense occurred, on May 11, 2024, at a U-Haul Rental Business located on South Memorial Drive, Prattville, AL.
Investigators say the pictured suspect rented a U-Haul utilizing a fake ID that was created online. The photo on the ID is not the same as the male pictured. The suspect went by the fake name of Joshua Hawthrone, from California. Investigators say the suspect used a fake ID to steal a U-Haul vehicle.
Investigators say the U-Haul was found abandoned in South Carolina on May 23, 2024. There are no other details available for release at this time.

Investigators say on February 2, 2024, around 6:00 p.m., police responded to the 2000 block of Coliseum Boulevard, Montgomery, AL, in reference to a shooting. Upon arrival, contact was made with the victim who stated four unknown subjects opened the entry door to the business, saw a subject inside the business, and started firing shots at the business. Damage was caused to the business but there were no reported injuries. There are no other details available for release at this time.

On May 31, 2024, between June 1, 2024, an unknown suspect(s) stole a commercial vehicle that contained items of value from the 5400 block of Atlanta Highway, Montgomery, Alabama.
Investigators say the vehicle was recovered in the area of Alabama River Pkwy and Jackson Ferry Road. The suspect(s) also stole property from the commercial vehicle and left the scene.
Investigators released a video of the unknown subject seen stealing the vehicle and attempting to remove the security surveillance camera from the vehicle. There are no other details available for release at this time.

The Opelika Police Department is investigating a felony theft and is seeking the public’s help in identifying the suspects involved.
Opelika Police Investigators released a photo of two unknown suspects wanted for a felony theft investigation. The offense occurred, on May 26, 2024, at about 11:00 a.m. at Ulta located at 2690 Enterprise Drive, Opelika, Alabama. Investigators say the suspects entered the business and began placing merchandise in a bag. The suspects failed to pay and left the store with the merchandise in a green passenger car, possibly a Nissan Altima. The vehicle left in an unknown direction of travel. Investigators say the first suspect, identified as a white female with long brown hair, can be seen on surveillance video wearing a green top, blue jeans, and brown wedges. The second suspect, identified as a white female with blonde hair, is seen wearing a black shirt, blue jeans, and flip-flops.

The Montgomery Police Department is investigating a June 4, 2024, shooting that left three victims dead. Police are requesting the public’s help and are asking anyone with details or information to please come forward.
Investigators say on Tuesday evening, June 4, 2024, just before 9:00 p.m., police and medics responded to the 4100 block of Troy Highway, Montgomery, AL, in reference to a shooting. Police located three victims at a local business which has been identified by local media as Tienda Los Hermanos, a local grocery store. Three victims were located on the scene and sustained life-threatening gunshot wounds. Two victims were pronounced deceased on the scene and one other was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries and was later pronounced deceased.
The victims were identified by investigators as George Elijah Jr., 50, and Daniel Lopez, 20, who died at the scene. Romero Lopez, 43, succumbed to his injuries at a local hospital.
The circumstances surrounding this violent fatal triple shooting remain under investigation and no other details are available for release at this time. Investigators and family ask anyone who may have seen something or know something to please come forward.

Prattville Police Investigators released photos of two unknown suspects wanted for a felony theft investigation, attempting to elude law enforcement, and criminal mischief 1st degree. Investigators say the offenses occurred, on May 19, 2024, in the area of Kohls, 1460 Cotton Exchange, Prattville, AL.
Investigators say the pictured suspects, identified as two black females, walked into the business, stole multiple clothing items, and left the business without paying. The suspects left the scene in an unknown direction of travel in the pictured Hyundai, black in color. A short time later, the suspects were located in the area of a local shopping center by law enforcement. A traffic stop was initiated by law enforcement, the suspects refused to stop and fled the scene. While fleeing the scene, the suspects struck multiple vehicles in the parking lot. Investigators say the pictured suspects, identified as two black males and a black female entered the business and placed multiple items in the female suspect's purse. The stolen items were valued at $608.00. The suspects passed all points of sale and left the business without paying. Investigators say the female suspect arrived at the business in a white passenger car and the male suspects arrived in a silver car.
The suspects are wanted for theft of property 3rd degree, which is a Class C felony.
