The Prattville Police Department is investigating a Theft and seeks the public’s help in identifying the suspects.
On June 17th, 2021, two unknown females entered a business located in the 1900 block of Cobbs Ford Road. The two females then began loading miscellaneous merchandise into shopping carts. The suspects were captured on security cameras pushing the carts containing the merchandise out of a rear exit door of the business.
The suspects loaded the merchandise into a newer model Jeep Wrangler, white in color. At the time of the report, the dollar amount for the theft was listed as $792.00 but management believes the dollar amount is much greater. The females were seen arriving and leaving in the Jeep Wrangler.

The Prattville Police Department is investigating two vehicle break-ins.
On Saturday 07/24/2021 between 10:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. two vehicles were broken into at the Club 4 Fitness. Suspects stole personal items and credit cards. Investigators advise that two male suspects were traveling in a gold-colored SUV possibly a Toyota or Lexus.
The suspects first went to a retail store on Cobbs Ford Road and used the victim’s credit cards to make a purchase of a cell phone and phone cards. The suspects then went to Montgomery and made several more purchases with the victim’s credit cards, charging thousands of dollars to the cards.

On 07/07/2021 the Opelika Police Department began investigating an Attempted Robbery which occurred at the Murf Mart, located at 1001 Frederick Road.
The suspect, described as a black male or female, is seen on camera wearing a black hoodie, jeans, black shoes and holding a black backpack.

On July 19, 2021, Greenville Police arrived at JA Logistics in regard to a Breaking and Entering. Upon arrival Officers spoke with a representative of JA Logistics who stated that someone had broken into the storage building outside of the main office around 3:00 am and stole an air compressor.
Investigators obtained security camera footage that shows an unknown vehicle driving up to the storage building. The camera footage shows the vehicle drive off but returns between 15-25 minutes later. Camera footage also shows two males walking around inside the building and as they attempt to cut a chain with bolt cutters before removing an air compressor. The chain was linked to a backpack blower and weed eater (shown in video).
The vehicle that picked up the offenders appeared to be a 4-door sedan of a light color.

The Talladega County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a subject involved in a felony theft investigation. The subject in the photo was captured on security cameras in the early morning hours of June 29, 2021 at the Oak Grove Fire Department. Investigators advise that a catalytic converter was stolen from a vehicle belonging to the Town of Oak Grove.
A huge increase in thefts of catalytic converters has hit the State of Alabama and the nation. Talladega County Investigators say that this is an ongoing issue in the county. In what likely took about two minutes, the subject sawed off the device leaving about an 18-inch hole between the engine and muffler where the catalytic converter in normally installed. Converter thieves normally leave a $2,000 replacement cost for the owner.
This thief is possibly responsible for numerous converter thefts. Help us identify him before he strikes again.

The Prattville Police Department has updated their investigation of a felony theft that occurred at a jewelry store. The search for the offenders has widened to include Phenix City and Columbus Georgia.
Prattville Investigators believe the offenders that committed a felony theft of jewelry in June may be part of an organized group operating out of Phenix City and the Columbus Georgia community. Investigators have traced similar crimes occurring in multiple jurisdictions including Montgomery, Alabama, where the offenders match by description.

The Prattville Police Departments is investigating a theft that occurred at a jewelry store.
On 06/01/2021 three unknown males entered a jewelry store. The three males kept redirecting the salesclerk to pull jewelry from the display cases. The other associates observed what was going on and proceeded to assist the salesclerk. The male in the white t-shirt and black ball cap reaches into the display case taking a necklace. He then turns and walks out the door. The other two males soon follow.
The males left in a dark colored GMC Envoy displaying tag 46AY734.

On 06/23/2021 the Opelika Police Department began investigating a Fraudulent Use of a Credit/Debit Card case, which occurred at Mapco, located at 2385 Moores Mill Road, Auburn, AL.
The suspects, both described as black males, are seen on camera entering the business at approximately 4:36 AM where they purchase miscellaneous items before leaving in a dark color Lexus passenger car.
The first suspect is approximately 6-feet-tall and can be seen wearing a black hat, face mask, black Champion t-shirt, and blue jeans. The second suspect is approximately five-foot- ten and can be seen wearing a blue hat, glasses, a face mask, gray sweatshirt and black pants.

On Friday, June 25, 2021 at approximately 3:38 pm, Montgomery Police responded to the 3400 block of Vaughn Road on a package theft.
Investigators say contact was made with the homeowner who advised that at approximately 3:13 pm, an unknown subject stole a package from their front door. The subject and vehicle were captured by surveillance video. Investigators obtained additional video which appears to depict the same suspect committing another package theft from a different residence.
Montgomery Police released photos from both occurrences of theft.
