On December 23
rd 2010, the Juneau Police Department investigated a burglary of a storage unit in 1000 Block of Salmon Creek Lane. Stolen were the following two firearms:(1) Remington 870 12 gauge 3.5 inch Magnum shotgun with a black barrel and a wood stock valued at $300.00.
(2) Remington 700 30.06 Bolt Action Rifle with a black barrel and a wood stock values at $600.00.
On August 30, 2010, the Juneau Police Department investigated a Commercial Burglary in the 7600 Block of Glacier Hwy. Among the items stolen were an HP 17.5 Inch Laptop Computer, a 32 Inch Vizio LCD Flat Screen TV, a Sony Vaio Computer Tower, and a Century brand safe.
Total value of the items stolen was $2000.
On August 12th , 2010, the Juneau Police Department investigated a burglary
in the 8400 Block of Thunder Mountain Road. The caller said they had been
out of town and that the burglary could have taken place anytime starting
June 12th, 2010 thru the date of the report on August 12th , 2010.

Residential Burglary in the 8100 Block of Circle Dr. Among the items stolen

On October 15
th, 2010 the Juneau Police Department investigated a report from the Juneau School District reference a stolen lap top computer. The caller said between 10:15am and 11:15am on October 15th, someone went into the tech lab at the Yaakoos Alternative High School and stole a white, Apple Mac Book Pro valued at $1500. The serial number to the Mac Book is W89246KV9GU.On November 6, 2010 the Juneau Police Department investigated the theft of items from a vehicle in the 1000 block of Hendrickson Road. The caller said that sometime during the previous night, someone broke into his vehicle and stole the following items:
1 – Makita Belt Sander
1- Makita Skill Saw
1- Hitachi Hammer Drill
500 – 12g Shotgun Shells
1- Bottle of Prescription Medication
On October 27
th 2010, the Juneau Police Department investigated the theft of parts and fuel from a boat in the 2200 Block of Brandy Lane. The caller said the boat was moved to Brandy Lane for winter storage on October 4th 2010, and that a fuel leak was noticed on October 25th 2010. When going to inspect the cause of the leak the caller said he noticed his battery had been stolen along with his alternator, and the fuel from the tank had been removed. The caller said whoever took the items sawed through the fuel tank and cut all the cables to the motor. Total estimated value of missing and damaged items is $5000.00. The stolen alternator according to the reporter only fits a Volvo Penta 8.1 OSi.On October 24
th, 2010 the Juneau Police Department investigated the theft of a firearm from a residence in the 9900 Block of Stephen Richards Memorial Drive. The caller said his Hi Point .44 Magnum Semi Auto Handgun went missing sometime in August or September of this year.On September 5
th, 2010, the Juneau Police Department investigated the theft of $2775 from a business in the 200 Block of Front St. The theft is believed to have taken place between 9am and 10 am the morning of September 5th. The suspect walked into the open business, into an employee only area, and took the money from an open safe.On August 21
st, 2010, the Juneau Police Department investigated the theft of a handgun from a storage unit in the 5400 Block of Commercial Blvd. The storage units lock was broken off, and stolen was a semiautomatic Sig Sauer P225, 9mm black in color.On October 5th, 2010, the Juneau Police Department investigated the attempted theft of money from a business in the 100 Block of Seward St. The caller reported that the night prior, around 9pm, a man wearing a hooded sweatshirt and something covering his face, tried to steal money from the cash register.
An employee chased the man out of the business but lost him on Egan Drive. The business owners said this was the third time in the past few weeks similar incidents had occurred, with money having been successfully stolen on a previous occasion.
On October 2, 2010, the Juneau Police Department investigated the theft of a gun safe from a storage unit in the 5400 Block of Commercial Blvd. Inside the safe were several firearms and a camera. The theft occurred sometime between July 10
th and October 2, 2010. The safe was a Honeywell Model 6742D with an electronic keypad locking system. The firearms taken were a Winchester Model 700 30/06, a .22 Rifle of unknown make, a Mossberg 12 gauge Shotgun, a Ruger .357 Magnum Revolver, and Savage .22 Rifle.The camera was Cannon Elan E2.
On August 15
th 2010, the Juneau Police Department investigated a vehicle fire at Sunshine Cove. The vehicle was a 1993 Ford Explorer. The fire is believed at have been set intentionally and the vehicle was a total loss.On August 27
th 2010, the Juneau Police Department investigated the theft of two firearms from a residence in the 8700 Block of Thunder Mountain Road. Taken from the residence was a Kel-Tec Sub 2000, 9mm handgun, and a British 303 WW2 rifle.On August 27
th, 2010, the Juneau Police Department investigated a vehicle fire in the 4200 block of Mendenhall Loop Road. On arrival, officers located a full size van fully engulfed. The fire was believed to have been set intentionally. The van was a total loss.On August 16
th 2010, the Juneau Police Department investigated the theft a 9mm Semi Automatic Smith & Wesson firearm from a boat in Harris Harbor. The caller said several people had been on his boat the day earlier when the gun went missing.On August 16
th 2010, the Juneau Police Department investigated the theft of a Rossi .38 Handgun from a residence on Church Hill Way. Individuals with any information are encouraged to contact the Juneau Police Department or Crime Line immediately.On August 2nd The Juneau Police Department Investigated an arson that occurred in the men’s bathroom at Savikko park. The fire was believed to have been started in garbage can, causing smoke damage to the entire men’s bathroom estimated at $450.00. The fire was believed to have occurred during the evening of August 1
