The Portland Police Bureau and Portland Fire & Rescue, in partnership with Crime Stoppers of Oregon, is asking for the public's help to identify several persons of interest in a residential fire investigation.
On July 5, 2019, Portland Fire & Rescue responded to a residential fire at a home in the 3900 block of Northeast Garfield Street. The three alarm fire caused significant damage and resulted in two people being injured as a result of having to jump out of a third story window to escape the fire.
Several persons of interest were captured on surveillance video from a neighboring apartment complex. Fire investigators would like to identify everyone in the surveillance video.
The Portland Police Bureau, in partnership with Crime Stoppers of Oregon, is asking for the public's help to identify the suspect or suspects involved in the vandalism of a Northeast Portland law firm.
Sometime on the weekend of April 26 – 28, 2019, an unknown person or persons put a garden hose through the mail slot of a Northeast Portland law firm and turned on the water. The water ran for an unknown period of time, causing damage likely to be in the tens of thousands of dollars.
After the vandalism, an anonymous email with a claim of responsibility was sent to Portland media. The email indicated that the law office was targeted due to legal work with Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
The Portland Police Bureau, in partnership with Crime Stoppers of Oregon, is asking for the public's help to identify the suspect involved in an armed robbery of a Northeast Portland convenience store.
On April 27, 2019, at approximately 7:30 p.m., East Precinct officers responded to the report of an armed robbery at the Saigon Market, located at 1111 Northeast 82nd Avenue.
Officers arrived in the area and contacted the victim who told police that the suspect entered the store, armed with a handgun, and demanded money. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect left the store and was las seen walking westbound on Northeast Multnomah Street.
Surveillance images of the suspect are being released to aid in this investigation.
The suspect is described as a Black male, 30 to 40 years old, 5’10” to 6’00” tall, a thin mustache, wearing black clothing and light-colored shoes, armed with a handgun.
The Vancouver Police Department, in partnership with Crime Stoppers of Oregon, is asking for the public's help to identify the suspect involved in two bank robberies.
On March 14, 2019 and April 24, 2019 a male entered the Heritage Bank located at 16400 SE 18th Street in Vancouver, Washington, and robbed the bank.
Based on surveillance video and witnesses, the same suspect is believed to be responsible for both robberies. During the robbery on March 14 the suspect displayed a knife.
In both robberies the suspect wore a ski mask over his face. He is a white male 35-45, Black/Grey hair, unshaven, wearing blue jeans a black zip up jacket and a beanie.
Detectives from the Vancouver Police Major Crime Unit are investigating and are asking anyone who may have information related to these robberies or can identify the suspect to contact Crime Stoppers of Oregon.
Crime Stoppers Featured Case #19-25
The Portland Police Bureau, in partnership with Crime Stoppers of Oregon, is asking for the public's help to solve the homicide of a Southeast Portland man.
On Wednesday April 24, 2019, at 7:07 p.m., Portland Police East Precinct officers responded to the report of a person injured in a shooting in the area of Southeast 93rd Avenue and Henry Street. Officers and medical personnel arrived and located 34-year-old Robert Lewis IV suffering from traumatic injuries.
Medical personnel determined that Lewis was deceased at the scene. The Oregon State Medical Examiner conducted an autopsy and determined that Lewis died as a result of a gunshot wound.
Officers located evidence of gunfire at the scene but did not locate any suspects in the area.
The Lewis family continues to grieve for the loss of their loved one and is asking for privacy. The family has shared photographs of Lewis to be released in the hopes that someone might have information about his death.
The Portland Police Bureau, in partnership with Crime Stoppers of Oregon, is asking for the public's help to identify the suspect who shot and injured a woman in Southeast Portland.
On April 23, 2019, at approximately 8:42 p.m., East Precinct officers responded to the report of a shooting in the area of Southeast 146th Avenue and Stark Street. Officers and medical personnel arrived and located a female in her 20s suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was transported by ambulance to a Portland hospital for treatment to her serious injuries.
Officers learned that the victim and her boyfriend were sleeping in their car when an unknown person fired multiple shots into the vehicle.
