FHP Investigators Seek Tips to Help Solve Double Homicide

In the early morning hours of July, 16, 2020, the victims left the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Tampa. At approx. 3:00 a.m., they were traveling southbound on Interstate 75 in a white Nissan Altima. As they traveled on the exit ramp to State Road 574 (MLK Jr. Blvd.), unknown suspect(s) shot at their vehicle multiple times. As a result, two of the four occupants died from gunshot wounds. Witnesses reported seeing a white Jeep Cherokee flee the scene.

HCSO Detectives Ask the Community for Tips to Help Identify Shooters

On April 23, 2022 at 4:48 p.m., outside the Panda Kitchen & Bath located at 8330 Hillsborough Avenue W., three (3) suspects were caught on surveillance video shooting into a vehicle where an adult male was sitting. The suspect vehicle has been identified as a gray Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk. All three (3) shooters, who appear to be white males, reenter the vehicle and flee the parking lot with the driver. While leaving, one of the suspects shoots again toward the victim. The victim died as a result of the injuries he sustained.

On May 24, 2022 at 7:03 p.m., at the Publix Liquor store located at 8975 Race Track Rd., 2 unknown black females selected approx. 20 bottles of liquor placing the bottles into 2 shopping baskets. Both suspects made no attempt to purchase the items and left the store stealing over $900 in liquor. The suspects were captured on store surveillance cameras.

New Port Richey Detectives Work to ID Suspects Writing Fraudulent Checks

On April 23, 2022, two unknown subjects utilized a stolen check from a business in New Port Richey to make a purchase at the Walmart located at 6192 Gunn Hwy. in Tampa. The suspects made the fraudulent purchase for merchandise valued at over $900. The male and female suspects were captured on store surveillance video leaving with the merchandise. On April 24th, a fraudulent check from the same victim was written at a Home Depot in Tampa for over $2,100 to pay for merchandise. Detectives believe the suspects are the same in both cases and may have written additional checks.

PSO Detectives Ask for Tips to Identify Theft Suspects

On June 2, 2022 at approx. 1:45 p.m., 2 suspects stole merchandise from a retail store at the Tampa Premium Outlets in Lutz. They hid the stolen items inside larger bags and 1 suspect assaulted a store employee during the incident. Both suspects left in a black Mercedes sedan, which can be seen in surveillance video.
One suspect is 5’7”, short black natural hair and was wearing a blue plaid shirt with ripped jeans. The second suspect is 5’5”, shoulder length black hair and was wearing green camouflage print shorts and a pink long sleeve top. Both suspects were captured on surveillance video.

HCSO Detectives Investigate a Burglary at 2 Tampa Apartment Complex Leasing Offices

On May 28, 2022 at approx. 4:20 a.m., 2 unknown suspects broke into the leasing office at The Park at Lake Como Apartment complex located at 8301 Sandstone Lake Dr. The suspects fled without taking any property. They, along with a third suspect, then broke into the laundry room at the Town & Country Apartment complex located at 5625 Forest Haven Cir. The suspects were captured on surveillance video and could also be seen entering the gym and leasing office. The suspect used pry tools to enter a cash dispenser. The suspects fled with cash in a white Nissan Altima or similar make/model vehicle.

On April 25, 2022 shortly after 3 p.m., in the 7300 block of Monterey Blvd. in Tampa, an unknown suspect utilized his red/maroon Dodge Durango to steal a homemade trailer. The vehicle had aftermarket stickers on the rear trunk door. The suspect vehicle and suspect were captured on surveillance video. The suspect is described as an older black male, 6', 275 lbs., wearing blue pants and a white t-shirt.

On May 2, 2022 between 12am and 6am, unknown suspect(s) entered the victim's vehicle in the 8600 block of Key Biscayne Dr., and stole a black Taurus G3C firearm, Apple iPad Pro Gen 3 and bank cards. Later that day, a stolen card was used at the M&M Food & Meat store located at 5010 15th St. N.
The suspects were captured on store surveillance video and are described as: B/M, dreadlock in pony tail, goatee, wearing a white shirt, black hooded jacket, black pants, socks and sandals; B/M, shoulder length braids, wearing brown jacket, black shirt, jeans and black sneakers and a W/M, short dark hair, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with a logo on front/back, jeans and black sneakers. The suspects left the store in a unknown make/model, silver sedan.

On May 6, 2022 at approx. 3:15 a.m., a young female was found deceased in the 100 block of W. Floribraska Ave., after reports of several gunshots were heard. The victim has been identified as Nilexia B. Alexander, 14 yoa, who had been reported as a runaway from her home in Temple Terrace. In the past, Nilexia was known to spend time in the Jackson Heights. She is 5'9", 180 lbs. and has a tattoo on her right inner forearm.
