Taos County Crime Stoppers is seeking information in identifying the driver of a Grey Toyota Truck in reference to a hit and run crash at the intersection of Ranchitos Road and Valverde Road on Monday October 1st, 2024 between the hours of 8:00 am and 8:45 am. The truck should have extensive damage to it's front end area and was last observed headed towards the intersection of Ranchitos Road and Salazar Road following the crash.

B&E at Southern Methodist University (SMU)

Between the close of business on Tuesday, July, 9th, 2024 and the next morning (Wednesday, July 10th) unknown persons illegally entered the Southern Methodist University (SMU) campus maintenance shop located at 6580 State Road 518, Ranchos de Taos. Access was gained by cutting the locking bolts with a saw.
Once inside, a blue 2003 Dodge Dakota truck that was in the shop was loaded with several Sthil chainsaws, several Sthil weed whackers, several Sthil blowers and various hand tools. In addition, the catalytic converters were cut off of two other trucks that were in the shop. The blue 2003 Dodge Dakota along with all of the Sthil power tools and the two catalytic converters were stolen.
