Our Mission. Crime Stoppers of Central Iowa is a non-profit organization that provides the public in Central Iowa financial incentives to anonymously assist in solving crime.

Our Vision. Crime Stoppers of Central Iowa remains a useful tool for law enforcement to gather critical information to assist in solving crimes.

Funding. Crime Stoppers is a non profit organization. A civilian community board of directors provides direction. The reward money paid out by he program is from the fund raising and donations from concerned citizens and businesses.

Does Crime Stoppers Work? The answer is quite simply 'yes'. Since the start of Crime Stoppers of Central Iowa, many calls have been received resulting in hundreds of arrests and recovery of substantial amounts of property. Calls have included information about murder, robbery, rape, assaults, drug and firearm offenses. Tips for parking violations or personal grievances should not be reported to Crimestoppers.
