DMPD detectives are requesting the community's assistance with locating an individual wanted for kidnapping and burglary.
36 yr old David Salinas is wanted on the charges of Kidnapping - 1st Degree, Kidnapping - 2nd Degree, Burglary - 1st Degree, Assault Causing Inury, Theft - 2nd Degree, and Violation Of A No Contact Order.
The adult female victims in this case reported that during the early morning hours of 03 Nov, Salinas broke into the home that they were in, assaulted them, tied them up, and held them against their will for several hours. One victim is a former girlfriend and had a No Contact Order in place prohibiting Salinas from contacting her.
Salinas is a Hispanic male, 5'11" tall, weighing 175 lbs. It is unknown what vehicle Salinas may be associated with.
Salinas is known to go armed.

CRESTON, Iowa — A $1,000 reward is now being offered for information leading to an arrest in a 2018 homicide in the town of Creston.
45-year-old Paul Allen Scheel was found dead in a Creston home on February 14, 2018 after police were dispatched on a welfare check. An autopsy ruled the cause of Scheel’s death to be homicide.
In the 20 months since Scheel’s death police have not identified a suspect.
Crime Stoppers of Central Iowa is now offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of Scheel’s killer. Anonymous tips can be left online or by calling 515-223-1400.
Wanted Person Damir Nuhanovic,36 Is wanted by Clive Police for multiple counts of Theft, Credit Card fraud and Identity Theft.

On 22 June 2016 at 1:58 am, Des Moines Police Dispatch began receiving calls about a shooting at 3720 Martin Luther King Jr Pkwy. Officers arrived on scene and found an adult male with obvious gunshot wounds. Medics arrived on scene and transported the victim to the hospital. The person shot in this incident, Victor Robinson Jr., a 41 year old Des Moines resident, died due to injuries sustained in the shooting.

The Des Moines Police Traffic Unit is investigating a fatal hit and run collision and is asking for help from the public locating the suspect and their vehicle. At 10:54 pm on February 14th the Des Moines Police Department responded to a car vs pedestrian collision in the 900 Block of E. Euclid Ave. The victim in this investigation has been identified as Joan Haggar of Des Moines.
The Des Moines Police Department asks that anyone who may have been in the area of the 900 Block of E. Euclid and may have seen this incident to please come forward with any information on the identity or location of this driver and the car. Any additional information that can be provided may be useful in furthering this case.
The investigation indicates the victim was crossing E. Euclid on foot northbound. She was in the northern-most lane when she was struck by a westbound car. The vehicle did not slow or stop after the collision. Des Moines Police Traffic investigators spoke with a witness who provided the only vehicle description as a mid-sized car. This car may have damage to the front and/or windshield.
Anyone with information on the location of the vehicle or identity of the driver is asked to contact the Des Moines Police Department at 515-283-4811 or the Polk County Crime Stoppers anonymously at 515-223-1400. The Polk County Crime Stoppers offers up to $1000 for information leading to an arrest and the Des Moines Police Department will match that reward for a total potential reward of $2000.
The Des Moines Police Department also requests that any auto body shops or car-tow service who may have information about a vehicle that has sustain damage consistent with a collision to a human body to also contact us.

As Des Moines Police Traffic Investigators continue to follow-up tips and leads related to this case, images captured from video surveillance indicate a possible suspect vehicle may be a silver or gray mid-size 4 door sedan. This vehicle which is similar in size to a Ford Taurus or Chevy Impala is believed to have been in the area at the time of the collision and may have damage to the bumper, hood or windshield. UPDATE 14 March 2014:
The Des Moines Police Traffic Unit is continuing to investigate the fatal hit and run accident that occurred in the 900 block of Euclid, on February 14, 2014. Through the investigation Officers have been able to obtain a surveillance photo of a vehicle that is of interest to the investigation. The photo is from the intersection of Cornell Street and Euclid Avenue a short time after the accident took place. The investigation has shown the vehicle of interest would have been at this intersection at approximately this time.
UPDATE 1 July 2013:
Des Moines Police Detectives have issued a Material Witness warrant relating to this case. Antwan Geral Campbell is a 15 yr old resident of Des Moines. His name was developed during the course of this investigation and it is believe he has relevant and pertinent information regarding this case. Anyone with information on the location of Mr. Campbell is asked to call the Des Moines Police Department at 515-283-4811 or anonymously to the Polk County Crimestoppers at 515-223-1400.
UPDATE:
The victim in this shooting has been identified as Tony Matthews, BM16, DOB/08-21-96. His listed address is 3214 1st St, Des Moines. He is still in critical condition at a local hospital after extensive surgery this morning.
Detectives continued to work the case today and are following up on leads gathered from the scene and from witness interviews. Anyone with information in this case is again urged to contact Des Moines Police detectives through the above numbers.
Des Moines Police detectives have interviewed witnesses throughout the night, and Crime Scene Unit personnel have processed the scene of the shooting.
